How to Embed Facebook Live Video to a Squarespace Website

How to Embed Facebook Live Videos on your Squarespace Website.

Note: These instructions are based on a Squarespace template build in version 7.0.

Step 1. insert a video block

Determine the page you would like your video to display on. Using the insert tool, click a Video Block onto the page.

The Video Block should look like this below.

Step 2. Find the Facebook Live video you want to embed

Open Facebook in a separate tab and find the Facebook video you want to embed. Note the three dots in the upper right hand coner.

Step 3. Click the three dots and then EMBED.

Step 4. Copy the EMBED VIDEO code that is on Facebook.

Step 5. Paste the code from Facebook into Squarespace.

On the video block in Squarespace, click the </> in the Video Block and you will have an embed pop up.

Paste the video code from Facebook into this area.

Step 6. Click Set, Apply and voila, your video appears!

If you’d like, you have an option of uploading a custom thumbnail image or have the caption for the video to appear.
